Daily Maintenance

  1. Wipe Down Surfaces: Use a multi-surface cleaner or a mix of vinegar and water to wipe down counters, stovetops, and tables after each meal.

  2. Do the Dishes Promptly: Avoid letting dishes pile up; clean as you cook if possible.

  3. Sweep the Floor: A quick sweep at the end of the day prevents buildup of crumbs and dirt.

Weekly Deep Clean

  1. Clean Appliances:

    • Microwave: Heat a bowl of water with lemon slices for 2-3 minutes. Let it sit, then wipe clean.

    • Fridge: Toss expired items, then wipe shelves with warm soapy water.

    • Oven: Use a baking soda paste (mix with water), leave overnight, and wipe out the next day.

  2. Disinfect Sink & Drain:

    • Scrub the sink with baking soda.

    • Pour a mix of vinegar and baking soda down the drain to eliminate odors.

  3. Cabinets & Handles: Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild detergent to remove grease and grime.

Monthly or As Needed

  1. Clean Behind Appliances: Pull out the fridge and stove to sweep and mop behind them.

  2. Organize Pantry: Wipe shelves, check expiration dates, and reorganize items.

  3. Wash Garbage Bin: Rinse with a disinfectant or vinegar-water solution.
