Stove Top Cleaning Tip

Stove Top Cleaning
Clean stovetops by wiping spills immediately, using warm soapy water, or applying a paste of baking soda and water to loosen tough, burnt-on food. For glass, use specialized cream cleaners and a non-abrasive pad. For gas, soak grates in hot, soapy water.
Apply to a cool surface, scrub with a non-abrasive pad, and buff with a dry cloth. A single-edge razor blade scraper can remove stubborn, stuck-on debris.
Gas: Soak cast-iron grates in hot water with soap or degreaser. Clean burners with a toothbrush.
Electric Coil: Remove coils, then wipe them with a damp, soapy cloth. You can burn off stubborn residue by turning the burners to high for 3 minutes while the kitchen is ventilated.
Stainless Steel: Use white vinegar to clean and remove fingerprints.
